The European Commission therefore invites you to a Citizens’ Dialogue with Climate Commissioner Connie Hedegaard Thursday, 6 February 2014, 17-19 pm, Hotel Crowne Plaza, Copenhagen. IUC´s Nina Nørgaard is an invited guest
English interpretation will be available The meeting will be followed by a buffet reception.
Representatives from the EU system will participate together with candidates for the forthcoming European Parliament elections. EU expert and Prorector for Education at University of Copenhagen Lykke Friis will moderate and animate the debate.

It is no secret that citizens are not always fully aware of how decisions made on EU level affect them. Therefore, a number of Citizens’ Dialogues have been held all over Europe in the course of 2013 which have given ordinary citizens an opportunity to voice their feelings and expectations about the EU. The Citizens’ Dialogues have provided a great source of inspiration for the work to be done by the EU in the years to come. The debate on 6 February is part of this important dialogue with the citizens.
